Thirty-three years ago, Jim Crockett Promotions partnered with Mid-South Wrestling to present the first ever Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup in New Orleans, Louisiana. On April 27th, 2019, The National Wrestling Alliance (in association with The Crockett Foundation) will partner with Ring of Honor Wrestling to bring the classic tag-team tournament, The Crockett Cup, back to North Carolina at the Cabarrus Arena in Concord, NC.

On June 3rd is the first night of NWA's Crockett Cup 2023 live on FITE straight from Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. The event features NWA National Heavyweight Championship match where EC3 defends the title against "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason w/ Pollo Del Mar. Also in the lineup Hardcore Team War La Rosa Negra, Samantha Starr, and M95 (Madi Wrenkowski and Missa Kate) (with Baby Doll) vs Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy, Kenzie Paige, Kylie Paige, and Roxy) Four-way tag team match Daisy Kill and Talos vs The Miserably Faithful (Sal the Pal and Gaagz the Gymp) vs Eric Jackson and Jeremiah Plunkett (with Danny Dealz) vs The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum)

Along with other matches, the event will feature matches of the 5th Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Crocket Cup Tag Team Tournament. Wrestling Legend Jeff Jerrett is the ambassador for the tournament. The event will take place over two nights on March 19 and March 20 from Tennessee State Fairground Sports Arena in Nashville, TN.

TNA held a series of matches featuring various TNA tag teams. The winners of these matches would advance farther in the tournament with the winner being crowned the "Best TNA Tag Team". It took place on March 18, 2013, from the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida and Aired on PPV on January 3, 2014.
